James W. “Jim” Tucker is President & CEO of CommCare Management Corporation, managing agent for CommCare Corporation, the largest not-for-profit, skilled nursing home operator in the State of Louisiana. With twenty-four operating units and over twenty-five hundred patients and employees, Mr. Tucker is responsible to the Board of Directors for all operating and financial aspects of the Corporation. Prior to becoming CEO in 2015, he was managing partner for several family-owned real estate and commercial ventures.
From 2001 to 2012, he served as State Representative for District 86 in the Louisiana House of Representatives. As the only Legislative leader in the country elected from the minority party, he served as Speaker of the House of Representatives from 2008 to 2012.
In addition to his service as CEO of CommCare Management Corporation, Mr. Tucker has served many years as a Trustee for Baptist Community Ministries Foundation, as past Board Chairman of the UNO Foundation, as Chairman of the Algiers Development District and as a member of the North Shore Business Council.
Mr. Tucker earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from The University of New Orleans and is married to his wife Marisol Fernandez Tucker
