Dr. Deiadra “Dee” Garrett, board-certified pediatric general surgeon, specializes in the surgical treatment of abdominal organs such as the stomach, colon, liver and gallbladder. With a strong commitment to clinical excellence and patient wellbeing, she brings expertise, precision, and compassion to every aspect of her practice, including minimally invasive endoscopic surgery and neonatal surgery. She sees patients in Lafayette, Lake Charles and Alexandria. Dr. Garrett earned a medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and later a doctorate in genetics from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She completed a pediatric surgery fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Maryland, a surgery residency at Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans and a minimally invasive surgery fellowship at Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles.
