David Cresson was appointed President and CEO of the Louisiana ChemicalAssociation (LCA) and the Louisiana Chemical Industry Alliance (LCIA) inMarch 2025. In this role, he leads all aspects of both organizations, representingthe interests of LCA’s 70 member companies and LCIA’s network of more than600 companies. His focus is on fostering long-term economic growth andadvocating for a strong business climate across Louisiana’s chemical andindustrial sectors.
Prior to joining LCA, David served nearly 20 years as Chief Executive Offi cer ofthe Coastal Conservation Association of Louisiana (CCA). During his tenure, hemanaged a statewide board of over 200 members and was a leading advocate forfi sheries and coastal conservation through regulatory, legislative, and publicoutreach efforts. Under his leadership, CCA Louisiana achieved record-breakingmembership growth and fi nancial support.
David was born and raised in Metairie. He earned a Bachelor of Arts inCommunications from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama, where he alsoserved as captain of the baseball team. He and his wife, Melissa, have lived in Baton Rouge since 1993 and havethree children: Hayden, David Jr., and Chase.
