RESET Louisiana Policy Agenda
A Nonpartisan Agenda to Move Louisiana Forward
RESET Louisiana is a targeted, nonpartisan effort that identifies key priorities and issues critical to the state’s future. Recommendations for major reforms cover topics include State Finance, Education, Transportation, and Public Safety. Better Louisiana’s efforts advance these policies with active advocacy. They are reflected and kept current across our Public Policy recommendations.
What is RESET Louisiana?
Informed by data-driven analysis such as our Louisiana Fact Book, Leaders for a Better Louisiana strives to implement and support others working toward these recommendations. RESET Louisiana is about making a more prosperous and desirable state for all our citizens.
Started in 2019, RESET was developed by Better Louisiana (rather, the two predecessor organizations, CABL and C100) and the PAR Louisiana to raise awareness of important issues during state elections, make policy recommendations to state leaders, and implement those ideas to move Louisiana forward.
Policy Recommendations For The Future
The RESET Louisiana policy guide, created for the 2023 state elections, offers 55 recommendations to help “reset” the state for a better future. Since the founding of the RESET initiative in 2019, state leaders have addressed many of the RESET issues and continue to work on multiple parts of the agenda.
