Our team worked with state and regional leaders to create a new, comprehensive strategy for economic development. Better Louisiana worked with LED and the Louisiana Economic Development Partnership to create a long-range plan that embodies a whole-of-government approach. It is based on regional and local input, driven by data and embraces strategies for Positioning Louisiana to Win.

Louisiana adopted a new framework law for economic development in 2024. The Committee of 100 led a research project with Governor Jeff Landry’s Administration and Louisiana Economic Development leadership to research state agency models. It shaped new legislation which was signed into law as the Positioning Louisiana to Win bill.

Louisiana approved a $150 million investment in site development for the state, its largest in history, preparing the way for more shovel-ready locations across Louisiana.  Better Louisiana advocated for this and other critical economic development priorities in the 2025 Legislative Session.
