Selection Process

Participation is open to all citizens of the state. Leadership Louisiana Health Fellows seeks outstanding individuals of the following criteria:

• Committed to improving health and healthcare outcomes in Louisiana
• Confront Louisiana’s persistent low national health rankings with a focus on meaningful change
• Have a bias for action, curiosity, and a willingness to drive improvement and advocacy
• Recently new to Louisiana or executive leadership roles
• Prior health care knowledge helpful, but not required.

Participants come from every major geographic area, and reflect the diverse mix of the state’s population, including business leaders, educators, public officials, physician executives, and healthcare leaders

Class size will be limited to approximately 30 individuals.

Individuals are not selected in a year which he/she is running for a state or legislative office. Spouses or persons working for the same company or organization are not selected for the same class.
