Tim Hardy

Tim Hardy is a Partner in the Baton Rouge, La. headquartered law firm of Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson, L.L.P.  He holds an AV Preeminent Rating as a lawyer by Martindale Hubbell. His area of expertise is Environmental Law. He regularly represents industrial clients and municipalities in permitting, compliance and land remediation issues. He has been an Adjunct Professor of Environmental Law at the Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, La. for more than 25 years.  

He formerly served as Executive Vice President for Shaw Environmental and Infrastructure and as Senior Vice President for the Shaw Group, one of only two Fortune 500 companies based in Louisiana at that time. He also previously served as the top advisor for environmental affairs to former Governor Buddy Roemer and as Assistant Secretary for the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality. He also previously served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Environmental Section of the Louisiana Department of Justice and later as Director of the Public Protection Division within the Louisiana Department of Justice. He was named by Governor Jeff Landry as one of five Co-Chairs of his Transition Team.  He later chaired the Coastal and Environment Council during Transition.  He currently serves on the Louisiana Community and Technical College System Board of Supervisors and was named Board Chair by Governor Jeff Landry in 2024.  He has served on six Louisiana gubernatorial transition teams for both newly elected Democratic and Republican governors.

He holds a B.S. Degree in Chemistry and a Juris Doctor Degree from the Southern University School of Law.  He was named a Distinguished Alumnus by the Southern University Department of Chemistry, a Distinguished Alumnus by the Southern University Law Center and to the Southern University Law Center Hall of Fame. He is a member of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity (the BoulĂ©) and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

He is married to the former Stacia Saizon, currently Associate Dean of Students at Baton Rouge Community College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. They have two daughters, Nicole and Amanda, both physicians.
