Matt currently serves as President of Gulf South Region (LA, MS, AL, TN, Southwest VA) at Humana. Matt manages all operations including Plan/Product design, Network, Contracting, Finance, Medical Operations, Risk Adjustment, STARs Quality, Bold Goal, Provider Engagement, and Operational Strategy. Prior to the President / CEO role, Matt was CFO for a Division of Humana with P&L responsibility for $8B in revenue overseeing 11 states. Matt ran M&A and Strategy teams at Amedisys Home Health and at Humana conducting acquisitions, alliance and JV transactions for physician practices, home health, hospice, telemedicine and care management companies. Prior to his M&A work, Matt was in Corporate Finance and Treasury with a Fortune 500 company as the Derivatives Portfolio Manager for $1B of foreign exchange and interest rate forwards, options and swaps. He also served an analyst conducting Corporate Credit Facility creation, Credit Rating Agency management (Moody’s and S&P), Investment Management and worked on various projects including secondary stock offerings, stock splits, PIPEs, and bond offerings. He has additional experience as a Stock Analyst and practicing Law.
