Joan Coffman is a New Orleans native who was named CEO of St. Tammany Health System in 2018. Before this Joan headed Hospital Sisters Health System St. Mary’s in Decatur, Illinois. Coffman, a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, was chosen by a search committee that included local community physicians, members of the board of commissioners that governs the public hospital and St. Tammany Parish Hospital’s partner, Ochsner Health System. In August 2022, Joan was appointed to represent the Louisiana Hospital Association’s Northshore District on its Board of Trustees for 2022-2023.
