Erin Monroe is the Market Vice President for Cox’s Greater Louisiana market. She  plays a pivotal role in guiding the company’s daily operations by working closely with  cross-functional leaders to identify, design and implement operational efficiencies  improvements, and engage and motivate the markets over 700 employees around  the strategic direction of the company. 

Before assuming her current position, Erin served as Cox’s Vice President of  Government and Public Affairs for Louisiana, Florida, and Georgia. Her more than 20- year career journey showcases extensive leadership experience in policy  development, advocacy, public relations, operations, and employee engagement. Erin’s impact has been recognized through numerous leadership awards throughout  her highly distinguished career, including being named one of the Capital Region’s 500 Most Powerful and Influential Business and Community Leaders in 2023 and  2024. Erin has been previously recognized by the Baton Rouge Business Report as a  Top Forty Under 40 and Influential Woman in Business. She is also a Baton Rouge  Area Volunteer Activist award recipient.  

Beyond her professional achievements, Erin actively contributes to the community by  serving on the board of directors for the Louisiana Internet & Television (LIT)  Association, Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC), Baton Rouge Area Foundation  (BRAF), Center for Planning Excellence (CPEX), and Woman’s Hospital Foundation. Her  commitment to the community extends to memberships in the Junior League of  Baton Rouge and the Baton Rouge (LA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, Erin holds an undergraduate degree from LSU and  a Juris Doctor from the Southern University Law Center. She is a 2024 inductee into  the Southern University Law Center’s Hall of Fame. Erin’s multifaceted contributions  make her a dynamic force in both the corporate world and the community she  passionately serves.
