Chris Meyer is the President and CEO of the Baton Rouge Area Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing opportunity and the quality of life in South Louisiana. Under his leadership, the Foundation has leveraged collective resources to support various initiatives and projects. Meyer’s career spans public service at multiple levels, including the White House and the Louisiana Department of Education. He is also the founder of New Schools for Baton Rouge, which raised over $80 million to support new schools and investments. Meyer’s commitment to education transformation began with Teach for America and continued through various public service roles, including leading students evacuated by Hurricane Katrina to achieve significant academic gains.
